Dubai is an emirate in the Arabian Peninsula. It has the only natural port in the Persian Gulf. There between rugged mountains and breathtaking desert dunes are wide, white up to 70-km-long sandy beaches by an emerald sea. Dubai has a deep, long estuary that gave the area the nickname "Venice of the Gulf".
The Dubai Creek or the Spice Market. There spices from all over the world are sold.
The National Museum in Al-Fahidi Fort.There the old fort was newly restored in 1970 and the museum opened where 3000 to 4000-year-old utensils made of copper, alabaster and clay can be seen. Life-size figures, many lighting and sound effects take the visitor to the former Dubai ahead of time the oil boom.
Green parks, unspoilt villages, historic houses with wind towers, right next to luxurious residential areas with ultra modern shopping malls.
The Jumeirah Mosque is definitely worth a visit.
